It is my pleasure to announce that the Samaritan Group, Inc., earned just over $5,200 on June 25 at our yard sale. We enjoyed a huge outpouring of donated items as well as people who shopped and purchased! The site, on Phillips Energy property on Route 17, brought locals as well as travelers just passing through. The homemade barbecue, grilled and served by the Phillips family, was not the least of the enticing aspects of this community spirited project!

Proceeds of this endeavor are designated for general assistance to low-income families—which means basic needs such as heating fuel and rent—and tornado victims.
