I see no reason for Virginia voters to change U.S. Senators, but several advantages to keeping our current senator, Tim Kaine.
The first advantage is how well he works for the good of Virginia. He was the first person to appear at the Sandston Mail Distribution Center to demand improved mail delivery. Senator Kaine also reaches out to fellow senators for consensus. His approach has led to the co-sponsorship of close to 50 bills, because he believes that teamwork can produce bigger and better results than a single sponsor bill that usually amounts to a federal building naming or an issue of small impact.
The second advantage is Kaine’s strong support for our military, one of the major drivers in Virginia’s economy. His work has pushed the Veterans Department to improve their service to Virginia, especially the patient waiting period for appointments.
The third advantage is his dedicated support of the Chesapeake Bay, one of the most unique estuaries in the world...
