For those who, like me, did not see, but would have been genuinely interested in the display on Gay Pride Month at the main branch of the Gloucester Library, I would like to share two other resources.

First, there is a new website (www.itgetsbetter.org) which offers support to Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) teenagers who often suffer from low self-esteem, depression and frequent suicidal thoughts.

Second, there are several websites that show actual library displays on Gay Pride Month. Some of these displays begin with the history of the gay pride movement beginning as early as 1924 when the earliest known gay rights group in the United States was organized in Chicago. Some other displays feature presidential proclamations calling for the pursuit of equal rights for all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
