Letter: Protected speech?

Editor, Gazette-Journal:
I disagree that Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s speech is protected by the 1st Amendment (or anyone else’s in this matter).
Sura 5:33 says this about infidels: “They shall be slain or crucified, or have their hands and feet cut off.”
Sura 47:4-9 promises paradise to whoever cuts off the head of an infidel (regardless of age).
Sura 9:5 says, “Slay the infidels wherever you find them, and catch them and besiege them and sit in ambush for them everywhere. Then, if they repent and convert and pay the jizya [the infidel protection tax], leave their way. Surely, Allah is most Forgiving, Very-Merciful.”
There was no mercy shown on Oct. 7, 2023. Were those civilians who were in their beds, killed while watching their children/babies tortured and killed on Oct. 7, asked to convert and pay a tax/protection/ransom or were they just murdered for the “ticket to paradise”?
