On Saturday, June 1, the Mathews Rotary Club will host its third annual Party With a Purpose at Williams Wharf. This year’s “purpose” is to raise funds for Mathews Land Conservancy’s Owens Maritime Education Rowing Center at Williams Wharf.
With an energized new board of directors with specific skills, the MLC is positioned to initiate Phase 3 Construction to complete the Owens Center. The site combines the best of our unique Bay ecology and one of the top rowing stretches on the East Coast.
The completed building will house education and research facilities, and an indoor/outdoor event space with kitchen and training facilities for local, regional and national crew teams. It will be a fun time with a live band, food trucks and beer/wine truck. Come out to support this Mathews gem and fantastic resource.
