Like others before me, I write this to encourage the voters of Abingdon district to vote for Robert "JJ" Orth next Tuesday, Nov. 8.

I met JJ and his family shortly after coming to Gloucester County over 30 years ago. Our daughters grew up together and remain friends to this day. My family and I are delighted to see him continue his many years of unselfish public service by running for supervisor.

Gloucester County could not be served by anyone with more enthusiasm and energy. He does not have an "agenda," but is approachable and considers all points of view, accustomed to being part of a team in his profession and community activities. He is a successful leader and administrator in the world of marine science and in fundraising projects to benefit local organizations, such as the Abingdon Rescue Squad and GHS athletic program, the latter resulting in the sports complex serving our high schoolers today.
