We have both known and worked with Dr. Bob “JJ” Orth for over 30 years and can attest to the fact that he is a true leader. His role as Division Head of Biological and Fisheries Sciences at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, College of William and Mary, and his roles as Treasurer and then President of the prestigious scientific International Coastal and Estuarine Research Federation required extensive experience in personnel management, conflict resolution, consensus building, budgetary processes and decision-making. Bob has also used that same leadership and commitment during his 30+ years of public service on numerous Gloucester County boards and civic organizations.
