Editor, Gazette-Journal:
This letter responds to the car maintenance article found in Section C of last week’s Gazette-Journal. I own a 16-year-old pickup and a 1-year-old SUV. Upon reading the article on car maintenance, I checked my owner’s manual for both vehicles as to oil change intervals.
According to the manual, the pickup, which uses regular oil, should be changed every 5,000 miles. The SUV, which uses synthetic oil, should have an oil change every 10,000 miles. I think the numbers published in the article of last Thursday are incorrect.
