Editor, Gazette-Journal:
Donald Trump, in a campaign speech to members of the Christian nationalist group who are behind Project 2025, is quoted saying “Just vote this one time. After that, in four years, you will not need to vote again!” Can you imagine? MAGA is trying to sell the authoritarian destruction of democracy and takeover of our government by Christian nationalists, as a good thing?
Do you want to lose the right to vote? What about equal justice under the law? What about freedom of speech and the press? What about the separation of church and state?
All our fundamental rights are under attack. Folks, if you are so far down the rabbit hole that you don’t care about the 250 years of building a strong and viable Constitution that applies to all Americans is worthy; if you don’t care about the sacrifices our servicemen and women have given for a country with the hope of equality and freedom; if you aren’t concerned about the openly stated threats of a bloody civil war coming fro...
