Editor, Gazette-Journal:
People Aging in Their Homes (PATH) held a festive Christmas party last week attended by nearly 70 people. The motto of this nonprofit consortium of Mathews neighbors is “A Community Created By Neighbors To Help Neighbors.” This was amply evident by the large turnout, a jolly old elf, delicious lunch and a round of Christmas trivia.
The community we are all a part of was supported by Mathews Baptist Church, Richardson’s, Hearn’s Automotive, Roane’s, Seafood Shack, Chimney Corner, Moughons, Southwind, 5-Star, Ray Stubblebine Photography and the Mathews Visitor Center. This Christmas will be a little brighter thanks to their help.
