Federal retirees or active federal employees living in the Gloucester/Mathews area looking for current information about health care, and retirement planning can find much useful information at the National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) website (www.narfe.org).
NARFE is a national organization dedicated to the general welfare of all federal workers and retirees. We have a local NARFE organization, NARFE chapter 1757, in Gloucester that meets at 11:30 a.m. on the third Tuesday of every month at Damon’s restaurant in the special event building, directly behind the main restaurant, on Route 17 (7104 George Washington Memorial Highway) in Gloucester.
We welcome any active or retired federal employees in the area to join us. Our meetings feature a good lunch, speakers from local government, volunteer organizations, and financial and legal advisors.
