As Mathews Elementary School’s sign says, “There’s always something to be thankful for.”
I’m thankful for my longtime coffee shop friends and now grateful for the wonderful owners and friends of the Grill and our Saturday morning get-togethers. I’m grateful for my friend Jerry who makes sure I get home safely after dark. I’m thankful for our Farmers’ Markets and as I walk through, for all the welcome and friendly greetings I get, most especially from the fundraising Prom Girls. I’m grateful for Timmy and Alease Tillage, friends, and their every year making our Christmas season more bright and cheerful.
And yes, I’m thankful for my many Democratic friends, old and new, and especially grateful and thankful for all the good, yes, hard, work we did. A special thanks for Sheila and Kent, who never quit.
