The Mathews Relay for Life, held on May 21 this year, was an exciting day of celebration for all the cancer survivors and their families. Appreciation to all the many sponsors who supported this year’s event—Grover’s Auto Service, Mathews Pharmacy, Linda’s Diner, Noble Pest Control, Coastal Design, W.F. Owens Foundation, Gunn’s Body Shop, Ambrose Disposal, Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews Dentistry, C. Ben Lennon DDS, BayLands Federal Credit Union, Chesapeake Bank, Hogg Funeral Home, Lewis Land Surveying, and Country Cuts.

The proceeds from all donations so far have amounted to $41,711.01. Mathews County is a special place with people who are willing to help for this great cause. Our Relay team members are hard working and deserve a special "Thank You."
