Editor, Gazette-Journal:
My 40th birthday was special as I went to church in the morning of Sunday, Oct. 15, to listen to Pastor Chris give the sermon out of Ephesians 5:17-21. I got to spend some time with my brothers Walker and Pearce after worship service. Almost everyone at church wished me a happy birthday.
When I got home I watched my Washington Commanders for a while. Around 4:30 p.m. I had my birthday dinner at Golden Corral in Newport News which my brother Ray, his roommate Carmen and my Auntie Linda attended. I actually got 2½ hours of brother time with Ray while we sat together and talked about how great God is as we ate our dinner.
On Monday Oct. 16 my neighbor Annie came over to wish me a happy birthday as she was handing me a birthday present. On my birthday, Oct. 18, I ordered my pepperoni stuffed breadsticks from Dominos for dinner, and my mom made me a cheesecake swirl brownie for dessert. I thank God for blessing me with a special and fun-filled birthday.
