I recently had a chance to spend an afternoon with Ben Loyola, candidate for the Virginia State Senate. I was so impressed by his commitment to serve, his common-sense, conservative principles and his inspiring story. His family fled communist Cuba when he was two years old. He grew up with a unique understanding of what a great nation we live in and has given back to that nation as career officer in the U.S. Navy. He now wants to give even more by serving in the Virginia Senate. On Nov. 8, voters in Mathews County have an opportunity to vote for a man who will be guided by the principles that made our state and our nation great, vote for Ben Loyola.
