It becomes more apparent that our citizens need to be very cautious about checking prices on drugs in particular. I recently had an experience where I was billed $35.09 from one chain store vs. $12.49 90 days ago from another chain drug store, which verified that it was correct.
The response from the more expensive pharmacy was that they had put the wrong matrix in that particular store, indicating that they had variable prices in various marketplaces.
In this day of rising prices, it is wise for working families to watch newspaper ads, which basically will pay for a subscription to the newspaper in savings.
All too often, prices vary dramatically on gasoline and other products from the Peninsula to the rural areas. A word to the wise is sufficient. Just don’t assume that all prices are equal in all stores—whether it’s plants, food, medicine or gasoline.
