We are on the precipice of losing our democracy to either a theocracy or a dictatorship, or both. There is a movement afoot to do away with secular society in favor of a (so-called) right-wing Christian nation—denying the diversity that has truly made America great.
This in itself is a threat to freedom, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness of those who do not fit in the proponent’s concept of Christian or Anglo American society. Freedom of religion was in part what the nation was founded upon. Be aware that your Christian denomination may not be on the government approved list.
The oligarchy, including Trump and his wealthy friends, are more than willing to go along to get even more wealth and power. The primary vehicle is railing against immigrants and “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion”—the latter being the most truly Christian of concepts taught by Jesus. In fact, Jesus would never be accepted in such a society.
