Our Republic depends on informed voters. These days, as we are absolutely bombarded with information, we should try to seek direct statements over opinion/interpretation. Both the Democrat Party (DNC) and the Republican Party (RNC) have published their platforms, clear statements of their positions on current issues.
If we go directly to the source, we can read their own words and draw our own conclusions. Admittedly, while searching online you must wade through a bit of mud to get to firm ground, but it can be done. Go directly to their websites, avoiding things like “CNN Presents the DNC Platform,” or “New York Times lists the RNC Talking Points.”
