This letter is in response to the Feb. 16 article in the Gazette-Journal on Page Middle School students learning about history from Rev. Warren at First Morning Star Baptist Church. Rev. Warren is an active member of the NAACP, now in its 111th year. This is an organization that, especially in recent years, has promoted enmity and divisiveness among the races. Rev. Warren spoke of disinformation and “issues facing black people in the U.S., particularly with voting.” However, he presented only one side of the case concerning the voting regulations he disparaged. As I read the article, I felt that he laid a tremendous amount of guilt on these young minds (sins of the father), with indoctrination to the fullest. I see CRT incorporated into the whole presentation.
