Due to the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in daily life, including in local government, we decided to pose the above question on Facebook. Nearly 50 percent of respondents indicated that they were creeped out by this new technology, followed by almost a quarter who said they were worried about the potential downfalls of AI, such as misinformation and discrimination. Singular responses included not seeing a need for AI, feeling indifferent about it, finding AI useful for basic office and school work, like writing emails, and viewing AI as a wonderful tool to be used daily. This survey was conducted on Facebook through Google Forms. The chart was made using Canva.
