On Sept. 23, 2010, the Samaritan Group, Inc., purchased an ad listing businesses and individuals who supported our River’s Inn Food Fest on Sept. 13. Unfortunately, one business, Interior Matters, was left out of that list. We apologize for the error. Candace Adams, the owner, is a new friend of the Samaritans. She, like 31 other Gloucester businesses that day, was helping us meet our goals.

The profit, almost $6,000, will help us help people in Gloucester who have temporary financial emergencies. The need is increasing—as of Sept. 23, we have 236 applications. That number is up from 131 in August of 2009.
