Editor, Gazette-Journal:
I was pleased that several Republican legislators showed they had a backbone and prevented a government shutdown recently.
I hope that more will show a backbone with the incoming administration. House and Senate members are elected to govern for all Americans. They should not be puppets for Trump’s whims and wishes.
Most of all, I fear for women’s rights. We are equal citizens who deserve to make our own choices on everything. We do not need a “protector” to tell us what is good for us.
Please legislate sensibly. Also, the rich are rich enough to pay taxes without us paying for their tax cuts.
