Hats off to the young musicians in the county! Their talents shown last week in their spring concerts.

There were concerts by Gloucester High School’s Blue Ribbon Music Department—first the chorus under the direction of Greta Reed, and then the tremendous performance by the band, under the direction of Tom Emory. If you have only witnessed the GHS band in parades, you must hear them in concert for a completely different musical experience. An interesting note—nine of these talented young musicians are members of both the chorus and the band.

If you missed either, or the future members of either, tune into Channel 47 this week, where there are recordings of the Peasley and Page band concerts, as well as the Gloucester High School band and chorus concerts.
