Letter: For Parker

Editor, Gazette-Journal:
Did your mama always tell you “Don’t fix what ain’t broke?” I know mine did. So I don’t know why any citizen would consider casting a vote for a candidate besides Anita Parker for Petsworth district school board member.
During her tenure on the board, Anita has been both faithful servant and proven leader while aggressively advocating for both students and teachers alike. Always “fighting the good fight,” she has pushed hard to secure adequate funding to ensure the success of both college and career/technical bound students. She is approachable and willing to listen to the concerns of parents, teachers, students, and the community and do what she can to equally represent all.
As a teacher, I always appreciated Anita’s advocacy, sensibility, and approachability. And now, as a school volunteer, I’m so grateful for her support of our annual musical for Page. She is literally the only member of the board or leadership team at GCPS who comes out to every show we pro...
