I am thankful to live in Mathews County. A “come-here,” I recently fled the increasing crime, litter, graffiti, and lack of civility in Richmond. In stark contrast, Mathews is serene, with the beauty of fields, waterways, and beaches. Mathews is safe with responsive law enforcement and vigilant, law-abiding citizens. Mathews is bursting with history, the arts, and social activities. In these times of war, chaos, and uncertainty, I feel secure and protected surrounded by my wonderful new neighbors, friends, and caring community. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
