Gosh, the Letters to the Editor are full of fearmongering, misinformation and sheer panic on part of a select few. Here are some facts that might put these fears in perspective.
1.) Cutting federal employees’ jobs. The Clinton administration reduced the federal workforce by 377,000 as part of the “Reinventing Government” initiative. Under the Biden administration, millions of Americans lost employment to illegals and the military and others lost their jobs because they didn’t take the vaccine. What about the Keystone pipeline workers who were let go during Biden administration?
2.) Trump firing most of the U.S. Attorneys. Bush, Reagan, Clinton and Obama all fired most of the U.S. attorneys upon entering office. Why should this be any different?
3.) Trump pardoning of 1,500 Jan 6ers. Most of them served 3-4 years so it is not like they are getting off with no sentence. I’m sure those that assaulted police officers in Minnesota during the summer riots of 2020 did...
