April Edwards is the best candidate for Sheriff of Mathews County. She was born and raised here, graduated from Mathews High and has chosen to remain here, working to provide a safe Mathews for all residents.
April’s educational record is outstanding. Her professional accomplishments in Mathews County law enforcement are noteworthy.
In her time in the Mathews County Sheriff’s Office, Edwards has faced rapists, killers, pedophiles, robbers and every type of lawbreaker. She also has compassionately helped the innocent victims of untold numbers of these criminals.
If elected April’s goals are to continue in the path of Sheriff Barrick: continually fighting the war on drugs and cross training of deputies to maximize the value of each employee in the department. April will work to establish a good rapport with Mathews County youth in order to develop a trust between them and law enforcement, for now and for the future.
