I am writing you in support of April Edwards for Mathews County Sheriff.
My parents have lived in Mathews County for 35 years. My mother still lives here. I have owned property in Mathews in the past and hope to again. I spend about five months a year in Mathews. Although I can’t vote here, I am very invested in the election and the candidates. The outcome has a direct impact on my life.
April Edwards is a well-educated, forward-looking law enforcement officer. She believes and has demonstrated that we are all equal under the law. She has demonstrated her commitment to working with you, handling delicate situations with grace, and gained the respect of victims, witnesses and suspects.
April has been face to face with murderers, rapists and child pornographers. She has offered information and her expertise to the citizens of Mathews County in order to keep them safe. She has gone to schools to work with the students. She has spoken at many community clubs and or...
