Letter: Easter blessings

Editor, Gazette-Journal:
God blessed me at Easter, starting on Wednesday, March 27, with a mystery Easter angel leaving me an Easter basket filled with goodies, and a flyer reading: “You’ve been egged. It’s raining, it’s pouring, these old bunnies have slowly hopped by! Here are colored eggs for each little chick that lives in this nest. Enjoy the treats but do not be alarmed when you find an extra egg is empty. It’s empty for a reason: It’s just a reminder what Christ did for us and that he lived again. The tomb was empty, just like the egg. He is risen!”
Friday, March 29 being Good Friday, I went to the service at church, where we sang “The Old Rugged Cross,” then Pastor Chris read Psalm 22:1 and we watched a video on crucifixion.
Saturday, March 30 was the Easter egg hunt at church which I totally enjoyed, helping out the kids.
In closing I want to thank my mystery Easter angel for leaving me that special Easter basket on my front porch.
