Please allow me to express a hearty thank you to Gloucester County Parks, Recreation and Tourism for giving permission to sponsor the Delegate Candidate Forum last Tuesday. We had an overwhelmingly favorable response. I regret that we weren’t able to accommodate approximately 70 folk due to space restrictions. We did not move outside because of the safety concern the oppressive heat brought us. Since the forum was a citizen-led activity, the high cost to rent a school auditorium was not feasible.

Thankfully, there is another Delegate forum being organized by the Gloucester Chamber of Commerce coming up on Thursday, Aug. 11.

It will be held at Gloucester Arts on Main, 6850 Main Street, Suite B, at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30, and a time of light refreshment will follow after the forum.

Guests are asked to bring their own lawn chairs, and to note that maximum occupancy is 150. If the response is equally overwhelming, a following forum may be he...
