Editor, Gazette-Journal:
Senator J.D. Vance, who aspires to be vice president, has opined that people with children should have more votes than those who do not. In essence, this gives children a vote.
Well, why not? They are already in Congress. These Congressional children call themselves “Republicans” and they slavishly follow every dictate of a large, egotistical bully named Trump. Now this Trump fellow is a real piece of work. He is the Republican candidate for president even though he is a convicted felon, a habitual liar, abuser of women and, above all, an insurrectionist.
He is the consummate con man and has convinced many that he has been sent by God to help them. He has embellished this by selling Bibles (and sneakers and T-shirts, too). Good grief.
But it can be easily solved in November by voting the “children” out of office, electing adults to take their place and exiling Trump to his golf course in Dubai.
