And what to my wondering eyes should appear but Fascists and Nazis in my local paper! Never in my wildest dreams and 70 years of living on this planet and this country would I have ever guessed that this sleepy little community would have given birth to folks who would promote either of the above two political atrocities! It brings to mind an old idiom … “be careful what you wish for because it may come true!”
I was astonished at what these two writers were putting forward, to what I read both were promoting private paramilitary movements! Really? Is this where we want to take this country? I know of no other way to interpret their writings, one writer reminds me of Mussolini and the other of Hitler, both promoting potential armed violence, perhaps even, dare I say it, civil war?
