Editor, Gazette-Journal:

On Thanksgiving Day, my husband and I attended the Community Thanksgiving Dinner at Kingston Parish House. We were not sure what we would experience, but to our surprise, it was wonderful on many levels. First, we saw other friends and neighbors enjoying the community feast. Second, the food was terrific! And finally, the people "behind the scenes" were kind and welcoming to all.

We plan to return next year—to eat, share the spirit of the day and help clean up again. Thanks to Vicki, the lady who encouraged us to attend.
