Letter: Common sense

Governor Youngkin recently signed Executive Order 35, the “Comprehensive Election Security Protecting Legal Voters and Accurate Counting” order. Check it out. It includes:

100% use of paper ballots which provide a record of the voter’s intent;
use of paper ballot counting machines not voting machines;
strict chain of custody for ballots with daily reconciliation for early voting;
application required to receive an early ballot-no mass mailing of ballots
counting machines tested before every election;
counting machines not connected to the internet, and
drop boxes under 24/7 monitoring/
