This year’s election cycle is unusual in that we have five open school board seats in Gloucester. It is possible that those five seats could be filled by five new candidates who have no experience on the board, thus leaving the school board with two incumbents, each with two years’ experience.
Of the many new people running, only one has the background, experience, education and leadership qualities to lead the new school board, if called upon. Therefore, I am stepping forward to recommend an outstanding and most experienced candidate, Mr. Fred Brewer, for the at-large seat vacated by Kellie Lockerby.
Gloucester County is honored to have two other qualified candidates running for this position. But Fred Brewer stands out as uniquely qualified in this race.
