The duties of the Sheriff for Mathews County are courthouse, court security, civil process and law enforcement. I am confident that, if elected Sheriff of Mathews County, Mark Barrick will provide the needed services to the citizens of Mathews. Mark’s knowledge and expertise make him a great sheriff candidate.

I am confident that he will make the Mathews Sheriff’s Office a highly respected agency by the citizens and amongst its peers. I also feel that Mark will put enforcement and prevention strategies in place to combat the drug problems plaguing the community. He is very knowledgeable in the areas of patrol and criminal investigation techniques. He also knows the importance of getting civil and criminal process served in a proper and timely fashion.
