Letter: Applaud elementary art teachers

Editor, Gazette-Journal:
As a member of Ware Episcopal Church, I have participated in all of the ArtWalks we have had for the elementary students in our county. The first one was two years ago when we were still dealing with Covid. It was held outside; it was a beautiful day and everyone had a great time. There were many other venues in which the students could participate; rock painting, harvesting radishes and onions from our garden that go to Bread for Life, and activities provided by the Scouts.
Every ArtWalk has a theme and this year was our Natural World. The art teachers and the students work on the ideas they come up with and then make a piece of art. These teachers are very dedicated to our students and the quality of the art the students make is awesome. The teachers obviously are showing the kids many different mediums that can be used to make a picture and the creativity of the students is wonderful.
