I read with interest Delegate Harvey Morgan’s comments regarding Agenda 21 in the Dec. 8 issue of the Gazette-Journal. Delegate Morgan has served the people of Virginia’s 98th District with distinction, and his years of dedicated service are greatly appreciated.
I would please urge Delegate Morgan and soon-to-be Delegate Keith Hodges to become cognizant of the precepts of sustainable development and its implementation plan, Agenda 21. I would also ask that they do a bit of research on the concepts of the President’s Council on Sustainable Development and how that council interfaces with the intent of the American Planning Association.
While Delegate Morgan commented that he "is not certain what Agenda 21 is other than it is connected with the United Nations," I am confident that Delegate Morgan will make the connection after a review of these organizations.
