There have been a number of examples of dangerous growing presidential powers recently.
First, the border enforcement rules began to change through Presidential Executive Orders each time a new president took office. Apparently, we no longer need a Congress to write and modify immigration laws.
Next, President Biden pardoned his son, while President-Elect Trump has promised to pardon hundreds of people lawfully convicted of participation in the January 6 insurrection.
Apparently, we no longer need the courts to decide punishment for breaking the law. In many ways we already have, in effect, a growing dictator-like government; a growingly more powerful president that can settle many issues quickly and efficiently with interference of the Congress or the courts.
