It was a perfect day for the Food From the Heart fundraiser this year. As always, there are so many people to thank.
First: US Foods, who have supported this event since the beginning in 2008. These “Food Fanatics” chefs come to prepare and share their special dishes that the guests get to enjoy.
Second: All the volunteers who help set up, serve, clear and clean up. My thanks go to Union Baptist Church, Bread for Life and Susanna Wesley Church.
This year was one of the best, with almost 200 people in attendance. This event is a fun way to raise money for a serious issue facing our community. Food From the Heart helps provide food for the hungry right here.
