Our wonderful community of Mathews came together on a very wet day October 14 in support of our Mathews Rotary Club Oyster Roast and BBQ Riot. I wish I could thank each and every one of you personally, for your continued support of this great fundraising event. As you know, we have been holding this event for many years and it just seems to get better and better each year.
Mathews Rotary Club holds five fundraising events per year (see below) to support numerous needs throughout our wonderful community and we like to take every opportunity to say how proud we are to be a part of such a giving community.
Rockfish Tournament—Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 9-10, 2023, Morningstar Marina.
8th annual Chili Cook-Off—Super Bowl Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, Piankatank Ruritan Club building, 4:30-7 p.m.
Flags for Heroes—May 23-July 4, 2024.
Party with a Purpose—Saturday, June 1, 2024, Williams Wharf, 4:30-7 p.m.
