It’s hard to read the letters to the editor when so much hate is expressed with little to no facts referenced. Consequently, I would like to throw some facts at you so you can make a comparison of life under Trump’s administration vs. life under a Biden/Harris administration.
Let’s look at the labor participation rate. In 2019 63.6 percent of a workforce of approximately 168 million were employed. In 2024, only 62.7 percent of the 168 million are working. This means about 1.5 million more workers are unemployed under the Biden/Harris administration. Let’s look at the costs of everyday items: Milk in 2019 $3.04/gallon and $4.04 in 2024 (33 percent increase), Eggs in 2019 $1.40/doz. and in 2024 $2.86/doz. (104 percent increase), Hamburger in 2019 $3.81/lb. and in 2024 $5.02/lb. (32 percent increase) and essential paper products in 2019 $35.10/month and in 2024 $46.50/month (33 percent increase).
