Leslie Herbert Brooks, 74, of Hudgins, Va., passed away on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at his home.

He was a Son of Mathews County, known as “Cuz” to most. He was predeceased by his mother, Louise Leigh; sister, Janet “Henny” Esham, and brother, Terry H. Brooks (died in Vietnam).

He is survived by his two daughters, Dottie Brooks and Donna Brooks Bailey; three sons, Lee Brooks, Kenny Brooks and Thomas Brooks (Janet); sister, Stormy Heart Romaniello (Fred); grandchildren, Mason, Mathew, Kennedy, Avery Brooks, Eric Bailey, and his loyal companion “Snowflake.”

The family received friends Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Va. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed in Windsor Garden, Dutton, Va.
