Legendary cooks run in the family

Tyler Bass is carrying on his family’s legend of good cooking. Another family legend, knowing how to garden, Tyler has not ventured into yet. But for now, he does know how to prepare what the garden produces.
In July 1994 Tyler’s grandfather, Eugene Ripley, was featured in this newspaper and later in the cookbook “Every Week, A Day In Your Kitchen.” The subject was cucumbers. The recipe was from Tyler’s grandmother, Linda Ripley. How to make Eight Day Cucumber Pickles was the featured recipe in the story and the cookbook.
