The Rappahannock Community College Educational Foundation’s Rappahannock Institute for Lifelong Learning will present a series of lectures by Pete Teagle on "Airborne Operations during World War II," from 1 to 3 p.m. on three consecutive Saturdays, Oct. 2, 9 and 16 at the Gloucester Public Library.
The three-session class will cover the formation, training and deployment of United States Airborne units involved in the European and Pacific theatres during World War II, said RCC spokesperson Tom Martin.
Teagle received a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s in history from the University of Richmond, and related graduate work at the College of William and Mary and the University of Virginia. He is a member of numerous societies and organizations. He is on the faculty at Hampton Roads Academy.
