The York River Garden Club will meet on Thursday, Feb. 13, at Bethany United Methodist Church, 1860 Hayes Road, Gloucester Point. A coffee social begins at 10 a.m., with the program starting at 10:30. Those attending are asked to enter through the rear of the church.
The program’s guest speaker, C.J. McDonald, owner with her husband of Under the Stars Farm in Gloucester, will talk about the farm and the large crop of lavender they expect to harvest later this year. The McDonalds plan for the farm to serve as a gathering place for community special occasions, a release stated.
