Laurie Moore Hite, 65, of King William, a former resident of Gloucester County, died on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023.

She recently retired from Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Preschool where she taught the three-year-olds Caterpillar class for 23 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Audrey Moore.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Mark Hite; daughter, Shannon Walton; her mother, Ruby Jean Moore; brother, Wade Moore, and two grandchildren.

Services to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, Jan. 6 at Colosse Baptist Church, West Point, Va. 23181. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and the service will begin at noon.
