Lady Dukes return to the diamond next week

The Gloucester High School varsity girls return to the softball diamond with a three-game schedule next week. The Dukes travel to Woodside on Tuesday and Lancaster on Thursday before hosting Denbigh next Friday. All three games begin at 4:30 p.m.
Head coach Red Lindsay said he will have a roster with as many as seven freshmen and sophomores along with six returning starters. All-region selection Shelby Alto will be in center field with Macy Robbins in left. Kalen Johnson, Rebecca Jenkins and Nina Garland will vie for time in right field and freshman Nealcyn Watkins could see action at third and right field. 
In the infield, Tori Brown will possibly play one of the corner positions with Alyssa Shackleford at shortstop and Alissa Upton at second base. Sierra Hogge and Morgan Booker may see time at third and first, respectively.
