Gloucester varsity softball players added three wins in recent action to improve to 5-0. The Dukes shut out Phoebus Tuesday and beat Bethel and Kecoughtan.
Morgan Haywood pitched a no-hitter with eight strikeouts as Gloucester rolled past visiting Phoebus, 14-0, on Tuesday. Haywood also singled in a pair of runs.
Kaleigh Arnett drove in four runs on two hits, Macy Robbins contributed three hits while scoring three runs, and Tori Brown added a pair of singles and an RBI against the Phantoms.
Gloucester defeated Bethel, 7-2, on Monday. Haywood gave up four hits and one earned run while striking out eight batters. She and Alyssa Shackleford had two hits and two RBIs each, and Shelby Alto added three hits and scored two runs.
