Lady Dukes fall to Raiders, defeat Blue Devils

The Gloucester High School varsity girls’ basketball team lost to the Warwick Raiders last Thursday, 55-20, on the road. However, the Lady Dukes recorded a win on Saturday as they defeated the Mathews Blue Devils, 60-25.

Autumn Cookson led Gloucester in points with a total of 10. Carter Flippin scored five points, followed by Hannah Horsley with three and Aaliyah Smith-Boone with two.
In rebounds, Smith-Boone led with six. Cookson, Flippin and Addison Hoover recorded four each, Horsley and Kate Vannoy had three and Hannah Mullis and Alesha Williams had two apiece.
Leading in assists, Flippin had two and Cookson, Horsley, Smith-Boone and Williams all recorded one each. In steals, Cookson had three and Chloe Davis, Flippin and Vannoy each recorded one.
